Arrogance

I think there's been a great deal of arrogance on my part. The "term" liberal perhaps is vague. It does not mean the same thing elsewhere as it does in the United States. I sincerely hope I have not confused any international readers with this nomenclature. "Liberal" in the sense of free-market, laissez faire economics is far from what I'm advocating. It is my belief a government needs to check the power of corporate interests not too unlike the branches of government control one another. We should have some degree of democratic and not be at the mercy of an unpredictable market.

  1. One thing I have noticed, and I suppose that this is not a new thing, is that the word "liberal" has come to take on a negative connotation - even more so of late. I don't understand why people shy away from that label. I say, EMBRACE IT!!
